The Quannapowitt Yacht Club Youth Sailing Program is a registered children’s summer day camp with the Town of Wakefield’s Board of Health. The sailing program enrolls students starting at 8 years of age and entering third grade to high school. This is a fun way to learn to sail with kids from different communities.
The sailing program is a 2 week session taught in accordance with the US Sailing Small Boat Sailor Certification System.
We recommend that campers sign up for the 2 week program; however, first time campers aged 8-11 have the option of signing up for the “Try-It” program which is offered in the 1st week of any regular sailing session. The 2nd week can then be added, if desired.
Camp hours are from 9AM to 4PM Monday through Friday.
