The Quannapowitt Yacht Club Youth Sailing Program is a registered children’s summer day camp with the Town of Wakefield’s Board of Health. The sailing program enrolls students starting at 8 years of age and entering third grade to high school. This is a fun way to learn to sail with kids from different communities. We also offer advanced racing programs and participate in several regattas in Massachusetts.
We also offer “Try It” weeks for younger beginners – first time campers aged 8-11 may sign up for just the first week of any regular Sailing session. The second week can then be added, if desired.
Camp hours are from 9AM to 4PM Monday through Friday.
Sessions for Summer 2017 are as follows:
S1: 6/26-7/07 (Camp is closed on 7/4; tuition is prorated)
Try It program cost for one week is $350 for non-members / $320 for members. The second week may be added for $285 for non-members / $255 for members. Only first-time beginner students under the age of 12 are eligible for the Try It week.
Sailing program cost per two-week session is $575 for QYC members / $635 for non-members.
Racing program cost per four-week session is $1175 for QYC members/ $1,300 for non-members.
